LifeWave, Inc. is a privately held, medical device company that is developing a non-invasive, sensing technology for both prenatal and neonatal monitoring in clinical and remote settings. LifeWave will also develop a maternal cardiac monitoring solution to provide for early detection of postpartum hemorrhage, the leading cause of maternal death during childbirth. LifeWave’s product technology is based on non-Doppler radio frequency (RF) sensing. LifeWave has developed its technology with funding from a number of government organizations, including the NIH, with most recent funding from the California Healthcare Foundation. The LifeWave sensor is small, wireless, battery-powered, and non–invasive.
